The Lansing Heritage Site Management Plan is based on historical research, previously collected Elders’ oral history, archival records, a previous archaeological assessment, and an investigation of the various built and landscape resources found on site and consultation with the community to understand the important contribution that the site makes to their cultural identity. Lansing is a cultural landmark with its distinctive clearing and orderly arranged buildings, long history, and important contribution to the identity and memory of the Na-Cho Nyak Dun First Nation.
