In collaboration with NIDA and other researchers, NVision is contributing to the National Indigenous Engagement on a National Framework for Diabetes: Establishing Distinctions-Based Pathways project, funded through the Public Health Agency of Canada’s (PHAC) Healthy Canadians and Communities Fund (HCCF). NVision is responsible for Indigenous, and specifically Inuit knowledge-gathering on this project, contributing to the Inuit perspective for this Framework. We are conducting interviews with Inuit people and care providers across Canada about their experience with diabetes. We are also organizing and hosting regionally based consultations involving roundtables and engagements in northern Quebec (Nunavik), Nunatsiavut, the Inuvialuit Settlement Region and Nunavut.
