Kingngaaluk Territorial Park Master, Management, and Heritage Appreciation Plan

Kingngaaluk Territorial Park Master, Management, and Heritage Appreciation Plans respect and enhance the unique relationship of Inuit to the land by protecting Inuit rights to use and enjoy the land and its resources, following cultural principles. Kingngaaluk encourages Inuit sustainable harvesting practices while protecting and respecting archaeological sites throughout the park that speak to the history of the land. The Kingngaaluk Master Plan proposes the development of infrastructure, trails and interpretive signage. The Management Plan provides guidelines pertaining to maintenance and managing the park. The Heritage Appreciation Plan provides a comprehensive strategy for Kingngaaluk’s approach to interpretation, communication, education, outreach, and the sharing of stories with all visitors.
