Sophie Berthaudin
Researcher
Sophie is a researcher for the Strategic Relationship Management & Support service basket at NVision. She is Plains Cree (Muskoday First Nation) and Métis and grew up in the urban Indigenous landscape of Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a researcher, Sophie assists in support and coordination services at NVision, notably with Self-Governing Indigenous Governments in Canada’s Collaborative Self-Government Fiscal Policy Process. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with an option in Microbiology and Immunology in the French Immersion Stream. Sophie is proud to volunteer as a Knowledge Keeper’s assistant, supporting the facilitation of Indigenous cultural awareness and knowledge presentations for a variety of elementary and middle schools whenever she’s back in her hometown of Winnipeg. Outside of work, you’ll find Sophie at the gym, on a walk around Ottawa, making handcrafted jewelry or watching hockey.
