Mishon Sutherland is a Dakelh, Carrier woman who belongs to the Lhts’umusyoo (Beaver Clan) and is a member of the Nak’azdli Whut’en First Nation located in the Central Interior region of British Columbia. Mishon lives, works, and plays on Kwakwaka’wakw territory at the northern tip of Vancouver Island where she owns a business trap fishing commercially for spot prawns, and long lining for halibut. Mishon’s entrepreneurial interests consist of financial technology solutions for Indigenous creatives and content creators, coaching and mentoring young Indigenous women, and wearable art. Mishon’s basket of financial, health governance administration, planning and information management experiences are bolstered by her Global Stewardship and Complex Trauma Training, which she brings to her research at NVision Insight Group.
